It’s media democracy in action. Thanks to all those who voted (sometimes every day!), Elise’s article on the Cape Cod Ark won the Reader’s Choice award for Best Story, Environment/Sustainability from Edible Feast.

Not only that, but fellow Edible Cape Cod writers Julie Mirocha and Vanessa Stewart picked up Reader’s Choice and Critic’s Choice awards for their stories on Nobska Farms and Gerardi’s Cafe (respectively).

Needless to say, it’s quite an honor to be considered for this nationwide competition featuring the best writing from the Edible Community. Here’s what jury member Dan Rosenberg (the man behind Blog Eats and Harvard Common Press) had to say:

This is turning out to be a busy spring for food-related stories. We’re going to follow up with articles/photo essays on creative DIY chicken coops and scallops, and look forward to incorporating more video on the Edible Cape Cod site!
