Washburn Island Oysters hit the ground running. Though the company now operates the oldest shellfish aquaculture grant in Massachusetts, the 21-acre parcel hadn’t been active for a decade. But within two short years, Washburn Island Oysters has become a productive farm, in demand from Boston and New York to St. Louis and Houston.

Problem was, the company had no website.

We met with owner Todd Stressenger and his crew on a cold winter day to gather the information and images we needed to paint a portrait of an authentic New England tradition, combined with the company’s commitment to scientific collaboration and environmental stewardship. Facts and photos in hand, we wrote the content and supplied the images that give the parent company, Atlantic Oysters LLC and its brand, Washburn Island Oysters, virtual credibility.

The web launch coincided with a great feature on Washburn Island Oysters in Edible Cape Cod’s spring issue, starring our images!
